Introduction
This guide explains how to receive cryptocurrency in your ELLIPAL wallet and how to resolve common issues when transferring from exchanges or other wallets.
Steps
A. Open the App and Select the Blockchain
1. Open the ELLIPAL App
2. Tap “Asset”
3. Select the blockchain (e.g., Ethereum, BTC)
B. Select the Token and Tap “Receive”
1. Choose the token (e.g., USDT, BTC)
2. Tap “Receive”
You will see:
● Your wallet address
● A QR code
Alternative method (Titan devices):
● You can also open the corresponding blockchain on your Titan device
● Display the receiving QR code directly on the device
C. Complete the Transfer on the Sender’s Platform
(1) Get Your Receiving Address
● Scan the QR code
● Or copy the address
If using a Titan device, always verify the address on the device screen.
(2) Paste and Confirm the Address
● Paste the address into the sender platform
● Ensure the address matches exactly
(3) Memo / Tag
● Not required when receiving into ELLIPAL
If the exchange requires a value, you may enter any valid numeric value.
D. Check Your Balance
1. Open the App and view your asset balance
2. Pull down to refresh if needed
Notes
● The sending and receiving networks must match
● Always verify the address before sending
● A small test transfer is recommended before large transactions
● Some assets (e.g., XRP, XLM) require address activation
Common Issues & Solutions
1. Invalid Address / Address Not Accepted
This error usually occurs when withdrawing from an exchange.
● Address not activated (e.g., XRP)
Some exchanges do not support sending to unactivated addresses.
● → Send a small amount from another wallet first to activate the address, then retry the withdrawal
Address format not supported (e.g., XDC)
○ Different platforms may use different formats: ELLIPAL: xdc...
○ Some exchanges: 0x...
● → Replace the prefix (xdc → 0x) and try again.
Address blocked by exchange risk control
In rare cases, the exchange may flag the address
→ Try using another receiving address or contact the exchange support
2. Funds Not Received or Balance Not Showing
If your transfer does not appear in the wallet, check the following:
Incorrect network selected
Sending via the wrong network may result in loss of funds.
● → For EVM-compatible networks, you may recover assets by adding the correct network and token in the App
Transaction still pending
→ Check the transaction status on the blockchain using TXID
→ You can open the blockchain explorer directly from the ELLIPAL App [Insert screenshot: open TXID in explorer]
Exchange has not processed the withdrawal
● → Check the withdrawal status on the sending platform
Token not added in the App
Some networks (due to token indexing limitations) do not automatically display all tokens
→ Manually add the token in ELLIPAL Affected networks may include:
○ Polygon (MATIC / POL)
○ BSC
○ Arbitrum
App balance not updating
If the transaction is confirmed on-chain but still not shown:
→ Pull down to refresh
→ If the issue persists, it may be a node synchronization issue
→ Contact support at cs@ellipal.com
FAQ:
1. Do I need to sign a transaction when receiving crypto on ELLIPAL?
No. Receiving crypto does not require a signature. The sender completes and signs the transaction.
2. Why didn’t I see a QR code signing step?
Signing is required only when sending from your ELLIPAL. Receiving funds does not involve the device.
3. How do I transfer assets from the ELLIPAL App to the cold wallet?
You don’t need to transfer anything. The wallet created on your cold wallet device and the one shown in the App are the same. Your assets are always stored on the blockchain. The App lets you view and manage them, while the cold wallet securely holds your private keys offline.
